The Amazing Spider-man!

Okay, so, in relation to my most previous post, I have been kind of obsessed with trying to paint like Clayton Crain... And I know I'm nowhere near his level and I don't want to sully his name by insinuating that I am, but I've made yet another attempt. With this attempt I re-created this piece, which I made a long time ago:

This piece has sucked since the day I made it and I was never happy with it, all the more reason to use this as my subject matter, right? As you can tell, this was a tribute to the relatively new Amazing spider-man movie and the newer costume featured within it. Well, here's my latest attempt, which I am currently in love with:

If ever I've created something worth being my desktop wallpaper this is it. Keep your eye out for more developments of this kind, I'm really getting into the swing of this and loving the shit out of it. Excuse my Outer-Mongolian.

Gecko

As some of you may know, my favourite artist EVER is Clayton Crain, illustrator of many great comics, the best of which being Carnage. His blog is here: http://claytoncrain.com/ from there you can reach his YouTube, his deviantArt, his Twitter and his Facebook. His work is amazing, I insist you check it out...
Anyhow, the reason I mentioned him is because for a very long time I've made many failed attempts at painting like him, and in a million years I doubt I could even get close. However, I made an image yesterday, which after about 17 attempts I finally finished. This, I am quite proud of, the concept is cool, the style is nice and grungy and I honestly believe this is about as close to Crain's style as I ever have, and probably ever will get.

It's not brilliant, but non-the-less, I like it. I'm also probably going to do more with this gecko character, I really like him. The background could be better... but yeah, this was an attempt and most likely one of many.

Thank ye all for viewing! :)

1000 views and Luigi gets the girl!

So, I finally hit the 1000 mark for viewers on this blog, It might not seem like a lot, but to me thats quite a large number! I hope there are many more viewers to come, and I thank all of those who contributed!

Secondly, I haven't done a lot of artwork lately for 2 reasons... 1. I a absolutely freezing, my room is into single digit temperatures and my numb hands and constant shivering make drawing more of a chore than a hobby. 2. I've been have a nostalgiasmic time playing old gamecube and wii games... Hence my next piece, inspired by the statue on the 'Daisy Circuit' in MarioKart Wii...
I figured, thats a good idea, Mario always gets the princess and all this time he's been going to save Princess Peach and he's forgotten all about Daisy... So I decided Luigi should get the girl, although didnt know how to portray it... But this is how it ended up anyway, took a damn long time, over 8 hours (I didnt keep a very good track on time) and I used 216 layers!

As well as this, since I'm feeling EXTRA generous, I rendered up a layer-by-layer video of the piece coming together... I hope you all like it, thanks again for helping me reach 1000 views and don't forget to check out my AngryBlog using the link at the top!

SKYRIM!

One of the best games ever, and one I will never get bored of playing, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim!
I did some fanart of this a while ago, This piece, to be exact:

I found out the other day that, with 7,821 views and 114 comments it is the most popular design on my dA account: www.iamherecozidraw.deviantart.com
So, in tribute to that and in an attempt to see how much I have improved, I did it again in my new style:

Here is a list of changes:
1. I completely re-drew it in my newer style
2. My best friend hated the unnatural way the stormcloak was attacking so I changed that, The stormcloak's pose is changed a little to accommodate that and the camera angle is a bit better too.
3. There is snow clinging to the characters in different quantities on different textures and there is snow building up on the stone speech bubble
4. The background has been replaced with a slightly more dynamic but less detailed one...

I ain't exactly sure if this is a complete and total success... But I'm happy with and proud of it none-the-less. Thanks for reading guys :) If you like it, let me know on twitter, or, tell me which one you think is better! @TheDblTap

Happy New Year and MOAR TITANS!!!1!!1

Hey guys, first of all, of course, happy new year!!! I hope you enjoyed yours!
Secondly, I redrew my titans in a collective wallpaper design. I was also just using this to test out my new (yeah, again) style... The only major change really is the colouring style, inspired by a few of the issues from the amazing Avengers vs X-Men.

As you may have guessed, I'm really really proud of this. It's quite rare I do something I'm so proud of, but here you are, something I'm very proud of.
Okay, I'm keeping this post short, Have a great day guys!
